It tastes good when used to braise anything.
Not bad, but you have to add dark soy sauce yourself to color it.
Wang Shouyi braising spice mix is great for braised pork hock. Pair it with Lee Kum Kee dark soy sauce and chickpeas or soybeans, then add cilantro and Japanese chili flakes—it works perfectly as a filling for Chinese roujiamo.
I've never used it before, I'll give it a try. I mainly want to make braised lotus root.
