Fresh and tasty!
This is my second purchase. I'm happy to be able to buy Japanese fish. I'll bake it in the oven for about 20 minutes.
I cooked it on the oven's Broil setting on High for 10 minutes, then flipped it over and cooked it for another 5 minutes, keeping a close eye on it to prevent the skin from burning. It got a little burnt, haha. I thought it would be a small mackerel, so I planned for each of us to eat one, but it was thick and very satisfying, and I think one would have been enough for two people! I added the leftovers to the rice I cooked the next day. I put the skin and bones in whole before cooking, then removed the bones and skin after it was cooked and mixed it all together! That was delicious too! I'll buy it again!
I bought it because it had a delicious recipe for Atka mackerel.
I cooked it on a hot plate.
A magnificent Atka mackerel arrived. I can't wait to eat it.
It doesn't smell much. I like the reasonable price.

It's more expensive than the canned mackerel I used to buy in Japan, but it's delicious, so I sometimes buy it as a splurge. It's helpful because I can't eat blue fish very often.
