This is my favorite type of soft tofu. Its biggest advantage is that it can be stored at room temperature; unopened, it doesn't need to be refrigerated. It's very convenient to keep a few boxes at home. Once opened, it has a rich soybean aroma without any beany smell. The texture is very tender and smooth, somewhere between silken tofu and glucono-delta-lactone tofu. It's delicate and can be eaten straight from the box.

However, this tofu has just the right firmness and a smooth texture. Because it doesn't crumble easily, it can be enjoyed not only in dishes like miso soup and mapo tofu, but also as chilled tofu.

Perfect shelf stable tofu
I am brand new to the world of air frying and wanted to experiment with different kinds of tofu. I coated the cubes in panko crumbs and Ajinomoto crispy fry mix and they are not bad. I might blend the panko into finer crumbs next time.
