I can't usually find maitake mushrooms at my local Asian supermarket, so I was happy to find them here, and even better, they were on sale (though still $2.99), so I bought three. I immediately sautéed one in butter. I broke apart the rest and put them in the freezer.

Many kinds of mushrooms. Hot pot is very convenient.
I sliced up some shiitake mushrooms and made eggplant rice bowl.
We ate them within a day, and by the next day the mushrooms were a bit mushy.
