Organic maitake mushrooms from a local New Jersey farm, very fresh.
Just like last time, one of the multiple items I purchased has a torn wrapper. I would think they would notice this during packaging, so why would they just put it in like that? While it's not a big deal, I always avoid torn items when buying things in stores, so it still bothers me.
Sometimes it's white and very fresh.
This is twice the amount of maitake mushrooms sold at supermarkets. They look so fresh, and I'm looking forward to eating them in tempura or with rice.

I can't usually find maitake mushrooms at my local Asian supermarket, so I was happy to find them here, and even better, they were on sale (though still $2.99), so I bought three. I immediately sautéed one in butter. I broke apart the rest and put them in the freezer.
