Awesome for making dashi! For use in soups and other things!
I enjoy using this item to add flavor in the beginning of my stocks. One bag lasts a long time.
Great! Nice, large pieces of kombu. You can use them to make dashi stock. It's a bit easier to make dashi from kombu when you soak the kombu in water for maybe half an hour before making stock.
This kelp is delicious. The leftover kelp from the kelp broth can be used for stewing.
Very clean seaweed...^_^
Favourite for kombu dashi
I ordered this because Ottogi sliced kelp wasn't available.
It's fine. The size is just right, and it's good.
It contains plenty of large pieces of kelp. After making broth with the kelp and bonito flakes, I like to make tsukudani (simmered food) with the leftover kelp and bonito flakes.
It's just seaweed, it's alright, you can eat it like any other vegetable.

Perfect for my daughter's rice balls! I'll buy it again.
It was delicious when used as a filling for my daughter's rice balls and mixed with broccoli.
Finally, salted kelp is in stock! It can be used in so many dishes, but the package is so small, so I bought it again.
It tastes delicious when mixed with cabbage.
I always keep this on hand because I use it in pasta, salads, ochazuke (rice with tea), etc. I'm concerned about the salt content, so I strain it through a tea strainer before using it.

I haven't gotten the hang of it yet, but I'm happy to be able to buy kelp
I used it for the festival. Normally I would use fish such as herring, but since my family doesn't like fish, I tried wrapping it in beef. It was flavorful and delicious.
Perhaps because it is a natural kelp, it was narrower and thinner than regular dashi kelp. I ate it wrapped in kelp. Soft kombu rolls are ready.
My favorite conbu.
It was too long, so I cut it up and put it in a ziplock bag.happy!
A little expensive kelp, but good quality and worth buying

Now I know the kelp in braised dishes is dried and soaked in water, hahaha

This is a must-have for braised meat. Soak it in water before cooking, and it will only take 5-10 minutes!
I've repurchased this many times, but it feels like the quantity isn't as large as before.

It's not a special ingredient in Japan, but it's nice to be able to eat it easily even in America. You can easily enjoy it by adding a pinch to soba noodles or a pinch to miso soup. If you like umami, richness, and thickness, it's worth trying. Since it's just a side dish, a small amount at a time is sufficient.
