Very disappointed, I feel like I wasted money. Mainly because the chicken is too old. This kind of boiled chicken has such a hard texture and is hard to chew, you can imagine how old the chicken is, it feels like a three-year-old chicken. Can old hens be used to make boiled chicken? The last time I bought it, the chicken tasted normal, why is it so old (hard) this time?

It's OK. It's not like the scallion oil chicken in Hainanese chicken rice. It's more like white-cut chicken. Not enough salt. But it doesn't matter. I sprinkled some salt, poured in the scallion oil ingredients, steamed it in a steamer for ten minutes, and it tasted good when I took it out. If you still think it's not tasty enough, you can dip it in other seasonings. In summary, if you buy this chicken, you need to DIY the seasoning. Half a chicken is not big, the price is quite expensive, and I didn't taste anything special about the meat of this chicken.

When it arrived, there were ice cubes.
I bought it as a new product and tried it. When I opened the box, I saw a lot of ice, which seemed to be frozen. It tasted good when it was placed at room temperature and the ice melted without any fishy smell. Unfortunately, the scallion oil given was very little. I need to make some scallion oil myself to get enough flavor.

Khao man gai. Chicken is super tender and has a strong chicken flavor! I had it submerged in hot water on low-medium heat for 35 mins but prob could do 30 next time.
This free-range black-feathered chicken is delicious—not too tough or dry. It's perfect for making spicy chicken. First, marinate it in soy sauce and salt-baking powder for a few hours, then steam it for 40 minutes. It's very fragrant and delicious.
