It was too sweet for me, but delicious . The mochi skin was the right thickness, not too thick or too thin. The filling was matcha flavored; nothing particularly amazing, but it didn't disappoint either. I'd consider buying it again when it's on sale, but the regular price is too expensive.

Mochi is soft and chewy. The left side is red bean paste filling, the right is supposed to be matcha. Love the red bean paste. Matcha one doesn’t really taste like matcha, it just tastes sweet. Still good though. Would probably reorder, or just get the red bean one.

Both the red bean paste and green tea flavors taste the way they’re advertised. However, the red bean paste flavor is extremely sweet, much more so than the green tea flavor. The red bean paste has a slightly gritty texture, but that’s to be expected. Both flavors are covered in a white powder I assume to be some sort of starch. It’s very messy to eat but washes out easily. Overall very good, even if very sweet.

It has a large, substantial texture, isn't too sweet, and has a subtle aroma. While it doesn't have a strong tea fragrance, this makes it less cloying and more enjoyable to eat.
The honey flavor I ordered last time was delicious, so I tried the matcha flavor too. It was a bit disappointing because the castella particles were fine.
This was my first time buying it. I didn't really taste the matcha, but it was delicious as a castella cake.
