I bought six bags of cold noodles from Qishan County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, mainland China. I've already eaten two bags. My method is to microwave the noodles briefly, then mix in the broth, add some mung bean sprouts, and cook it as a side dish. I don't eat much chili, so I added a little chili oil. I also added a little MSG for extra flavor. Eating it while it's hot, it's very chewy and quite delicious. I lived in Qishan County, Shaanxi Province for 19 years; it's a wonderful place, the hometown of cold noodles. Their minced meat noodles are also excellent. I'm very satisfied with this purchase; I never expected to find cold noodles from my hometown so far away.
The shelf life is quite long, from June 2025 to July 2026, a whole year. After receiving it, I saw that it was similar to what I eat in China, also produced in Baoji. It contained two packets of seasoning liquid and one packet of chili oil, and it's already been steamed.
Be sure to steam them first, separating them as you steam. Then peel them apart; they'll be clearly separated. They'll still be springy after steaming. You can add any ingredients or side dishes you like. It's convenient and delicious.
