I made chive pancakes for the first time in a while. The chives were fresh and large, making them perfect for pancakes. For the batter, I added a spoonful of minced garlic and a spoonful of tuna extract. I mixed half pancake flour and half tempura flour. I added roughly chopped shrimp, jalapeños, and chili flakes. When fried, it makes a delicious pancake with a spicy and savory umami flavor.
Wow, the portion is enormous. I hope it tastes good. It’s fragrant when added to shabu-shabu.
