I cooked shrimp wontons in my homemade chicken broth, then added bamboo shoots after the water boiled. They were very fresh and sweet. Thawing bamboo shoots in boiling water is the closest to cooking them fresh; do not refrigerate or thaw them at room temperature, as this will cause the ice to crystallize.
I especially love these bamboo shoots; they taste amazing when stir-fried with meat!

I've repurchased this winter bamboo shoot many times. I feel there's not much difference between it and freshly peeled bamboo shoots. It goes well with many dishes; this time I used it to stir-fry rice cakes.

The dish of pickled mustard greens, bamboo shoots, and clams was delicious. Upon opening the box, the pickled mustard greens were vibrant green, and I stir-fried them with some edamame beans. The flavor was incredibly fresh and delicious.
It's a bit too salty. It's okay as a topping for rice or noodles, but too salty to eat on its own. However, it's also quite flavorful.
The expiry date is clearly marked as 11/13/2027
