I'm a novice, this was my first time buying this, and it seems alright. After thawing, it came out easily with a few rubs of a knife, thankfully not difficult. Slicing it is a skill, a real challenge for someone like me with no culinary skills, but it's passable . Boil the chayote, add abalone slices, stir-fry briefly, and it's ready. It tastes alright.
