I'm a novice, this was my first time buying this, and it seems alright. After thawing, it came out easily with a few rubs of a knife, thankfully not difficult. Slicing it is a skill, a real challenge for someone like me with no culinary skills, but it's passable . Boil the chayote, add abalone slices, stir-fry briefly, and it's ready. It tastes alright.

Easy addition to stir fry veggies
It's very convenient; you can eat it right out of the can. But usually, I pour the whole can of broth into it and cook it with napa cabbage, then add sliced abalone at the end and stir it all together—that makes a delicious dish.

It exceeded my expectations!! Drizzling sesame oil before eating really boosted the flavor. The thin abalone pieces that you bite into frequently, along with the small amount of seaweed, have a great texture and taste. It is light and clean-tasting. It is small, but it made for a quite filling meal. It also felt easy on the stomach. I think I need to stock up on more. Kudos to Ottogi for making this product!
