I bought it for the first time because it happened to be on sale. (Authentic mapo tofu is too spicy for me ) I cautiously tried the "spicy" version, but it wasn't spicy at all, which was a bit of a letdown . In other words, it was a mapo tofu mix adapted to Japanese tastes. I might buy it again if it's on sale?

A liitle bit too sweet but goes well with matcha mochi

It's a bit pricey, but I like it because it makes the mochi balls wonderfully soft and bouncy.
